Our residents enjoy two wonderful, home cooked meals on a daily basis, at lunch time and evening. Breakfast food is provided for residents to enjoy at leisure in their own rooms.

History

Dorothy Hughes House was established in 1993 with monies left by the late Dorothy Hughes of Welshpool.  The home was found and converted and has since welcomed many residents over the years.  Originally run under the banner of Abbeyfield, the house is now run independently.

Management

The house is managed by a group of dedicated voluntary Trustees who oversee the day to day management of the property together with the administrative matters.

We employ professional and qualified ancillary workers who run the house on a day to day basis, and cook first class meals for the residents.

Also, we have a part time Administrative Assistant who works closely with both the house team and the Trustees.

Night cover is also provided.
